We need your help: How can our communication with you be improved?

The communication we have with our clients is of the utmost importance.

From our perspective, we try to ensure that it is:

  • Informative, so it is of value to you
  • Easily understandable, so important points are not buried in jargon
  • Timely, especially if it is raising key issues you may need to act on.

We communicate with you through different channels, such as newsletters and articles, like the one you are reading now, through to the information found on our website.

At other times, we may contact you directly, by phone or email, if there is something particularly urgent we think you ought to be aware of. This could include changes announced in the Budget that may affect you, or dramatic stock market fluctuations, for example.

All of this goes on around the structured meetings we have with you, to help you create and review your financial plans.

There may be occasions when you need to contact us

Financial planning is all about peace of mind, so if you are concerned about something then you should contact us rather than wait for our next scheduled meeting. The sorts of things you may want to talk about could include:

  • Big changes in your circumstances, such as a promotion, or the arrival of a new child
  • Worries about your future plans
  • Market volatility affecting the value of your investments.

How you contact us will depend on the nature of your query and what you are looking for. There are three ways you can get hold of us between scheduled meetings:

  1. Pick up the phone and call us if you need quick answers.
  2. Send us an email if you have detailed questions.
  3. Use secure communication through our online portal to share confidential information.

Whatever means you use, we will do our best to help and respond as quickly as possible.

We need your help to improve our communications

Feedback from you is invaluable to ensure we are communicating effectively.

It means we can improve how and when we get in touch, and it can also ensure you receive information that is both useful and informative.

For example:

  • If you get our monthly newsletters, do you think the subjects of the articles are what you would like to read about? Or are they too business-orientated, and would you like some non-financial content, such as articles about the local area?
  • We occasionally send out newsletters on specific issues such as post-Budget analysis and after a sudden market downturn. Do you find these useful?
  • Take a look at our website and consider whether the information is helpful, or if there is anything else you would like to see.

By letting us know what you think, you can help us ensure that you are getting the best possible mix of communications from us. This will mean that you are always kept up to date about key issues that could affect you.
